To ensure your comfort and the best possible results, please follow the aftercare advice below carefully.

Immediately After Treatment

It is normal to experience:

• Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection site.

• A small bruise or bump under the skin.

• Slight itching or warmth at the injection area.

These effects are temporary and usually resolve within a few hours to a couple of days.

Post-Treatment Care

✅       Keep the injection area clean and dry for at least 6 hours.
✅       Avoid touching, rubbing, or scratching the injection site.
✅       If tenderness occurs, apply a cool compress (not ice directly) for short intervals.
✅       Drink plenty of water to help your body absorb and distribute the vitamin effectively.

For the Next 24–48 Hours

Do’s

• Resume normal daily activities.

• Eat a healthy, balanced diet to support your vitamin absorption.

• Continue to stay hydrated — aim for 2–3 litres of water daily.

Avoid

❌       Strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for 24 hours.
❌       Hot tubs, saunas, or steam rooms for 24 hours.
❌       Applying lotions, oils, or perfumes to the injection area on the same day.
❌       Consuming excessive alcohol (as it can reduce vitamin absorption).

Specific Vitamin Information

Vitamin B12

• Boosts energy, focus, and metabolism.

• You may feel more alert or energised within a few days.

• Some clients experience mild flushing or a metallic taste temporarily — this is harmless and passes quickly.

Biotin (Vitamin B7)

• Supports healthy hair growth, skin, and nail strength.

• Results develop gradually over several weeks with regular injections.

• Maintain consistent treatments as recommended for best outcomes.

Vitamin D

• Supports immune system, bone health, and mood.

• Avoid excessive sun exposure or high-dose supplements unless advised by your practitioner.

• Any tenderness at the injection site should settle within 24–48 hours.

When to Contact Your Practitioner

While side effects are rare, please contact Ya Wee Butey Aesthetics immediately if you experience:

• Severe or increasing pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site.

• Persistent bruising or a hard lump that does not improve after a few days.

• Signs of infection (warmth, pus, fever, or spreading redness).

• Dizziness, shortness of breath, rash, or any signs of allergic reaction.

If you notice any difficulty swallowing, swelling of the face or throat or sudden chest pain, difficulty speaking, breathing or develop a rash, seek urgent medical help immediately (999) if required and either yourself or someone contact the practitioner who treated you and Debbie Rios (clinic owner) .
