Immediately After Treatment

• Some redness, swelling, tenderness, and minor bruising at the injection sites are normal and usually settle within a few days.

• Don’t touch, rub, or massage the treated areas unless specifically instructed by your practitioner.

• Avoid applying makeup for at least 12 hours to minimise the risk of infection.

• Use a cold compress or wrapped ice pack to help reduce swelling (apply for short periods only, do not press firmly).

First 24–48 Hours

• Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, and alcohol — these can worsen swelling and bruising.

• Stay upright for at least 4 hours after treatment; avoid lying face down.

• Do not expose the treated area to excessive heat or cold.

• Sleep on your back where possible to avoid pressure on the treated areas, particularly for lips, cheeks, and tear troughs.

Specific Area Guidance

Lips (Lip Enhancement)

• Swelling can be more pronounced and may last up to 5 days.

• Small lumps may be felt during healing — avoid massaging unless advised.

• Keep lips moisturised with a gentle balm and avoid very hot or spicy foods for 24 hours.

Cheek, Chin & Jaw Augmentation

• Mild firmness or tenderness is normal.

• Avoid facial massages, aesthetic treatments, or dental work for 2 weeks.

• Do not apply pressure (e.g., from tight headwear, masks, or resting hands on the face).

Nasolabial Folds & Marionette Lines

• Be gentle when washing or applying skincare.

• Avoid exaggerated facial movements (e.g., chewing gum) for 24 hours.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty / Pixie Tip Lift

• Do not wear glasses or sunglasses that rest on the treated area for at least 7 days.

• Avoid any trauma or pressure to the nose — sleep on your back and avoid facial treatments for 2 weeks.

• Slight asymmetry or unevenness is normal initially due to swelling.

Tear Trough (Under Eye)

• This area is delicate — expect mild puffiness or slight bruising for a few days.

• Sleep with your head elevated for the first 2 nights to reduce swelling.

• Avoid applying concealer or eye creams for 24 hours.

Ongoing Care

• Results are typically visible immediately, but final results appear after 2–3 weeks once swelling subsides.

• Avoid other facial treatments (chemical peels, lasers, facials, or microneedling) for at least 2 weeks.

• Keep the area clean and protected with SPF 30+ daily.

• Stay well hydrated and maintain a healthy lifestyle for optimal longevity of your filler.

When to Contact Your Practitioner

Please contact Ya Wee Butey Aesthetics immediately if you experience any of the following:

• Severe or increasing pain.

• Pale, white, or dusky skin (indicating possible compromised blood flow).

• Unusual bruising or mottled discolouration.

• Blistering or open sores.

• Visual disturbances, dizziness, or any symptoms of concern.

If you notice any difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing or develop a rash, seek urgent medical help immediately (999) if required and either yourself or someone contact the practitioner who treated you and Debbie Rios (clinic owner) .
