Avoid touching or massaging the treated areas for at least 6 hours following treatment.
Remain upright for at least 4 hours following your treatment to prevent migration.
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, very hot baths, and sunbeds for at least 24 hours after treatment
Do not apply make up to the treated area for at least 12 hours
Mild bruising or swelling is normal and should resolve within a few days
You may experience a mild headache (this is normal) you can take paracetamol if required (avoid ibuprofen or aspirin)
Do not have facial massages, facials or skin treatments for at least 2 weeks after your treatment
Full effects can take up to 14 days to be seen – be patient
Iatrogenic botulism is rare – it causes the toxins to spread beyond area of treatment. May present between 4 and 8 days but occasionally up to 4 weeks to develop.
A review appointment can be arranged around 2-3 weeks after treatment if required
If you notice any difficulty swallowing, speaking (slurring), severe drooping of upper eyelids, change in voice and breathing or develop a rash, seek urgent medical help immediately (999) if required and either yourself or someone contact the practitioner who treated you and Debbie Rios (clinic owner) on 07525762670.
